4th July Grush Acres tradition
The Willamette River begins in Eugene and flows north and empties into the Colombia River in Portland. Yes, water can flow up.
Borrow or buy your own dingy or kayak and enjoy a relaxing 1hr float between South Corvallis and downtown. Tie off with friends and make it a party. The scenery during your float may include anything from Osprey hawks, the occasional Bald Eagle, to collage kids trying alcohol for the first time. Need a break during your float? Pull off at any of the numerous rock beach or stop by the rope swing to show off your skills.
What do you need toknow to start your river float?
River is slow with nearly no rapids
Pack snacks and beverages
Water isn’t too cold
Current is fast! Careful swimming, you will move much faster than your boat
Grush Acres has a couple kayaks, a few boats, innertubes and life jackets. These can also be bought at Big 5, Winco or other stores nearby
